We are in unprecedented times, and wherever you stand on current events in the Middle East, there is one thing for sure. The Church needs to STAND. God is sovereign, and the Bible even says that these things must happen (Matthew 24:6, Mark 13:7, Luke 21:9).
Coming into this, I have been very concerned about the state of the Church. “Comfort” is the word that is written on the souls of too many of God’s people. We are comfortable, and complacent, and that is a dangerous place for God’s people to be. Extremely dangerous.
Today, I heard the Lord say “Domestic Violence”. For four years I helped lead classes for men charged with domestic violence. It was a powerful place for them and for me, learning the ins and outs of what takes us there and how to find freedom. The definition for domestic violence that we taught is this — A reoccurring violent behavior (physical or emotional) towards someone familiar, with the purpose of stealing their power and identity. That is a powerful statement. And it’s what we have been doing within our nation.
But here’s the catch. When an outside force comes to steal and attack us jointly, it has the power to unite us. We can be divided, but when an outside force threatens our lives, the will to live can override our differences.
We ARE in pivotal times. And I support the decision to attack evil and cut the head off the snake. It had to be done. The only thing necessary for evil to prevail is for a good man to do nothing. And watching our brothers and sisters die in Iran while we sit in our easychairs is not godly design. The Church in Iran is growing powerfully — it’s the fastest growing church in the world — because of what they are up against. Resistance makes us stronger. When you have something to fight for, it matters. I know I would never be where I am with the Lord if it wasn’t for the fires in my own personal life that the Lord used to purify, strengthen, and transform me. All of us can attest to that. And each and every thing you’ve gone through is not for yourself — it’s to advance the Kingdom of Heaven. And here is our chance.
We are in a day of entering a “New Eden”. God showed me this was coming 20 years ago, and marked it with the word “ReGenesis”. The time is NOW. And this is where we get to command the Glory — “Let there be LIGHT”. This is the time of convergence.
Although the head of the snake in Iran has been severed, I believe there is a fight we’re going to have to STAND for. The line has been drawn in the sand. The battle lines have been drawn. And the only way around is through. God has, however, prepared us for such a time a THIS. This is where the Remnant Church gets to rise. This is where the glory of God will be revealed, and many will come to Him. This is the time of the HARVEST.
Ephesians 6:12 says that we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against wickedness in high places. Then it tells us to STAND. “Take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withSTAND in the evil day, and having done all, to STAND. STAND THEREFORE!”
It’s time for us to STAND for Truth. STAND for the Kingdom of God. STAND for righteousness and no longer bow to the spirit of intimidation and the fear of man. Fear the LORD and the power of His might.
I know all this is a strong word, and will shake grounds. But the Lord is shaking all that can be shaken so that what is His will truly STAND.
PRAY for our nation. PRAY for our government and military. Pray for our CHURCH and our FAMILIES. And in all of it believe that when the Lord said “It is FINISHED” He meant it. The victory is ours, and God is bringing His Church into the greatest days it’s seen yet. You were born for this moment. STAND.
