“Never elevate the vice of hatred to the position of virtue.” A friend shared a post today, and these words were in the message he had written. And they pierced me because they are powerfully aligned with where God has me.
His message as of late, has been MERCY. We are in a time where God is moving us with a spirit of Reformation. We are entering into a new era, and doctrines and beliefs that have been corrupted or inaccurate at best, are being realigned with revelation truth. When Jesus came to the scene, He was fought by pharisees, and we will be, too. Every new move of God comes with those who hold onto the old. But there’s LIFE in the new thing God is doing, and what was once our guide *is* being reformed. God is always moving, and when He moves, it’s from glory to Glory.
As a result, though, many of us have had to face the Religious Spirit in increasing levels. The reason is, it’s the arch nemesis of a Spirit of Reformation. The Religious Spirit will always want to push its own agenda, and shame you in the process. It boils down to the tenets of the Baal Covenant — Mind Control and Lust of Power. And what God has shown me is to counteract its attacks stay in Wisdom and Mercy.
Mercy is the *currency* of Heaven. If you want to be rich, be rich in MERCY. “Be wise as serpents and gentle as doves” speaks to knowing how the enemy works and how to navigate it (Wisdom), and moving in a way that keeps your heart pure (Mercy). It’s this last note that He has me on today.
Mercy protects. It doesn’t seek its own. But desires the goal of the Kingdom — peace. Jesus came as the Prince of Peace, and if we’re not walking in peace, we’re misaligned with His Kingdom. Recalibrate. And do it through Mercy. The enemy will try to tear us onto His side, but as long as we choose to place our flesh on the altar, we’re safe. Earlier, I posted a vision a friend had where demons were feasting on pride and judgement, fear and worry. Don’t give them anything to eat — STARVE HELL. When we choose Mercy, we lay down our reputation and fear of man. We die to the flesh, and this is what the Lord is emphasizing today — without those hooks, can you imagine the FREEDOM? Can you imagine moving effortlessly, no longer hindered? This is where God is calling us, where we can flow freely without interference.
No matter where you are today, you are RICH if you’re rich in Mercy. Give what has been given to you, pressed down, shaken together and running over. Then, the Glory of the Lord can move through you to accomplish ALL it is set out to do.
Guard your heart. And let His love be what shields you. The AMOR of God is the Armor of God. It will keep you safe. Resist the temptation to side with the agenda of this world. Keep yourself pure. And as you do, His Mercy for you will flood your life with favor, opportunity, and Glory.
