God Takes Care of Us

The biggest challenge, when we’re called to step into our destiny, is overcoming fear. It grips us, and holds us from stepping out of our comfort zone because we always doubt what we don’t know.

Do you remember a dream I shared about a month ago, in which I and my brother were in a bus that flew over the edge and towards water? I looked to my brother and said, “This is where we get to see God take care of us!” The amazing thing with that was that no matter how things go, God will *always* keep us safe.

Well yesterday I had an interesting experience. I’m away, visiting my father right now, and last night we went out to dinner. Shortly after we sat down, I was about to ask my dad if he knew of any good movies, thinking of plans we could make for later in the evening. Interestingly enough, though, we got to chatting with a couple sitting at the table beside us, only to find out that the gentleman was one of the passengers on US Airways Flight 1549 that did an emergency landing into the Hudson River in 2009. He and all 155 passengers survived. No lives were lost! He spoke of the event, but especially of Captain “Sully”, their pilot, who is a hero to them all. A movie was made of it in 2016, and to this day Captain Sully and all the passengers share a special bond. After dinner, my father and I watched the movie, and it’s amazing.

I asked the Lord what is the purpose behind this, because clearly our meeting was divine. And He reminded me of that dream in October, and the message He’s giving us now of boldly stepping out where we’ve never gone before. Captain Sully took care of every single one of those passengers. Not one was lost. How much more will God care for us, and ensure our safety no matter what? The devil always wants us to believe that God is not faithful, but He IS. He’s the one flying this plane, and He will always take care of us. The place we’re stepping into *is* a safe place, as hard as that is to believe. It’s a place of power and life, promotion and authority, and we’re not going in alone. This is where we get to see God take care of us!
